Adding The Sound of Silence to My Dust Collection System
Great job, wished I'd seen this 2 days ago. Will start over because I have to rabbet a ring to recess a pet dish bowl in. Bravo!
First off, looks great man. I get it’s a shed but the biggest thing I would have done differently was install the roof sheathing lengthwise. This is mainly for structural integrity. Could cause your roof to sink in between the rafters with the direction you installed them. Just my two cents
Great success
Great work bud. But just a tip. You don't need so many clamps. Everyone always goes overkill on clamps. You just need a bit of pressure. (Ie just the one socket set you put on) Without adding the second and sanders
Red light: this video and others are not even touching THE MOST IMPORTANT information about thise lasers: how many runing hours will it last? Is it 50 hours on 100% power and laser will degrade by 10-20-30%? Or maybe 1000 hours and you have to buy a new one? Whatbis the truth? This machie IS EXPENSIVE and laser replacement will kill the whole thing financially. Not mentioning this spec is unfair and i thinking like this: if they are not touching this subject that means the laser life time is shitty.
Honestly I don't know. I would suggest joining a creality falcon Facebook group and asking people there about that.
RUBBER
2.872,00 euros???😳😳😳Damn, it can already be good!!!
I have done the backards blade on circular saw to cut metal roofing. It works perfectly
Sorry if this has been answered but, how much did this all roughly cost? Thanks! :)
Watching for the information. Liked, followed, and shared for the PS1 style mecha wrench weapon in the corner.
I took my dust collector apart and took the motor off and powered it on it is not loud at all.
I'm a bit unclear on something. When you were showing the laser head, you stated the three settings. So, does this mean if you purchase the 60 watt, you can change it from 4,8 or 12 lasers for the 22, 40 or 60 watt setting? Or am I completely misunderstanding?
Yes you can change between them with the button on top
There are a heap of Domino clones out there, a good number that I have looked at. For the novice, your design wins hands down for simplicity, low cost, and effectiveness. This Aussie says, "Well done, mate."
He who dies with the most screwdrivers wins.
Damn, I love this! PS: maybe next time put the microphone on another table or so? Just to not take the vibrations of the table! Again, amazing! :)
I can do "that" - Subscribed !! But seriously, what an amazing contraption. A bit easier to make than Tamar's loose tenon jig (that another person has designed), yours does away with a LOT of dovetail grooves, I will compare the capabilities for centering and decide which one to make. Thank you sooo much!
i just made that comment on her viieo . lol
This set up is brilliant ! The only modifications I would make is a crossbar between the adjustable sides so that they move up and down in tandem and perhaps some depth measurement marks for the thickness of stock you are working with. Super impressed with the simplicity of your design !
picked from the trash! I do the same thing because the wood is better than what I can buy - it has literally had 20 or more years to dry and stabilize and is a joy to work with
Very interesting. The main thing I will add/critique here is that larger sheets of drywall/MDF/plywood will have more resonance and tend to vibrate at lower frequencies. I discovered these issues when I was in the process of soundproofing my 4'x 6' bedroom window from outside noise and neighbors (i.e. cars passing by the outside alley blasting loud bass music). I have to do this every summer when the rowdies come out of hibernation. I've discovered that smaller pieces of drywall and plywood do not resonate as much as one large piece did. It's also easier on my back to install it in smaller sections. I seal it all with rubber weather striping and acoustic calking. The result... much less resonance/vibration at low frequencies. I've learned a lot over the last few years from simple trial and error. I'm still in the process of improving it. I've gotten greedy and will take any dB reduction I can get.
Very nice design. I dont have a table saw or router would this be doable with a circular saw and chop saw?
very cool - especialy the sandpaper trick !
Don’t tell your wife! Lol
Thanks. Liked and subbed.
Thanks!
Now that was nice love the burn🔥....
This is perfect thanks for the vid. 😎😎👍👍
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Polystyrene???????
I'm not sure why you and John both have 2 handles -- it seems like figuring out a way to attach a single handle to the middle gear would work better and stay out of the way.. am I wrong on this?
Спасибо за Вашу работу. Великолепно. Буду делать себе такой же, воспользовавшись вашими наработками и опытом сборки. Использовать буду в первую очередь для "шкант"- шип деревянный, потом для домино. - Россия = Санкт Петербург Thank you for your work. Great. I will make myself the same, using your best practices and assembly experience. I will use it primarily for the "shkant"- a wooden spike, then for dominoes. - Russia = Saint Petersburg
Yeah I need a plan that’s easier to read. Any way to help me out?
Do you have a list of everything we need to buy for this?
Those giant bearings are going to add like 3x the cost for this thing, not sure why you think they're needed
I got them from princess auto for like $3 each
Will Poochie ever return from his home planet???
Poochies dead!!!!!!
Can you run some speed / quality tests on more realistic 6mm (1/4") wood?
MARAVILHOSO !!!
Remember boys, a miter is end-grain glued to end-grain. There is ~42% more glued surface compared to a butt joint, but it is 200% stonger. So, in conclusion, gluing end to end is actually a stronger bond.... Let the games begin
Man, you need to go to Taco Bell and get a taco then put the full size taco in there and cut a baby taco out of it. Just sayin.
Enjoy that machine, gonna have to talk to the wife.
I've got a good deal on a 40w ;)
I assume sonopan plus plywood would be the best
Great review! I see a lot of laser brands are coming out with new closed all-in-one lasers like the xtool s1, acmer p3. they all look cali great, it's just that the prices are all more
they make a sound deadening particle board type stuff. i have it in my basement. idk what its called tho
its called Acoustic Insulation Sound Board apparently and its only $29 for 4'x8' board.
I have nothing to say really, but I appreciate your content, and wish to help with the yt-algorithms.
Never use screws to attach the shelf to the wall studs. Screws have poor shear strength.
Ya it's fine. I've been building shelves like this my whole life and nothing has ever fallen. Even with hundreds of pounds on them.
@@DIYBuilds You keep in contact with every person you built shelves for? Yeah,ok.
@@robertheintz8017 yes, my parents and myself...
You’re doing all this fancy stuff and I can’t even get straight wood from Lowe’s. 🤦♂️ nice work.
I see no reason to watch a 10 minute paid endorsement.
Cool. Like and subscribe.
I watch these types of videos to purely see what the laser can do, not the commentary. Sorry...but I don't put much value on opinions from people who receive an expensive laser for free.
Hello, could you do an experiment to see how much sound waves are retained in water from air. So like a speaker playing over water and see how much sound stays in the water .
This looks great I can't wait to try it
But does it fit in your pocket?
Have no use for one but...
